City Hall Renovations & Temporary Relocation of Clerk's Office

The Clerk's Office will be under renovation from May 23rd until fall 2017. The Clerk's Office will be temporarily relocated to the 1st floor of the North Wing, and access through the main floor of City Hall will have temporary restrictions.

Centennial Fountain Delay

The start of the season for the Centennial Fountain has been delayed.  Due to high, fast waters in Little Lake, necessary repairs are not complete.  Barring unforeseen circumstances, the fountain will be operational by June 1, 2017.

Canada 150 - Celebrate at Home

As Peterborough residents prepare to Celebrate at Home for Canada’s 150th Birthday, we welcome you to extend your celebration with 150th Heritage Celebration on Sunday, July 2, 2017

Flood Warning Update

A flood warning remains in effect for the City of Peterborough. The Otonabee Region Conservation Authority (ORCA) has issued a Flood Warning Update for all watercourses/waterbodies in the geographical region. 

Community Services Department Relocating

Effective Monday, May 15, 2017, the Community Services Department has moved out of City Hall and permanently relocated to 210 Wolfe Street. 

2017 Proposed Boundary Change

City Council is considering a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Peterborough, the Township of Cavan Monaghan and the County of Peterborough in order to secure employment lands. A map of the area under consideration is included on the 2017 Proposed Boundary Change page.

Notice of Public Meeting: Whitefield Park On May 23, 2017 a representative from Nourish, the Parks Division and the Recreation Division will be at a public meeting to hear your input and to help set up the community garden initiative at Whitefield Park.
Large Article Pick Up May 29, 2017 The City of Peterborough Waste Management Division will hold six large article collection events in 2017. The second collection takes place on Monday, May 29. Book online or in person at City Hall or the Public Works Office by Thursday, May 25.
Notice of Public Open House: Crawford Drive & Harper Road Reconstruction The City of Peterborough is planning to extend and reconstruct Crawford Drive from The Parkway to the existing Harper Road. A Public Open House on May, 30, 2017 will be held to review the design plans and discuss the project process and schedule.
Agenda: Committee of Adjustment June 6, 2017 Applications will be heard by the Committee of Adjustment at its meeting to be held in Council Chambers, City Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
